The project is Red-lined at the lower left corner of the map of the Kyrgyz Republic where the road enters Tajikistan. It can be reached by flying to the Republic's second largest city Osh, and driving south for several hours. With improved transit along this corridor, it is readily apparent that improving this link will open up a potentially valuable route for commerce between the Republic and the nations of China and Tajikistan. The coal mining industry is in its infancy in the region, but is becoming a valuable natural resource with international potential.
